Custom made jewellery. In-store we have the services of our resident Qualified Jeweller, David A. Philp. David can draw a design for you, and/ oryou can peruse our many design catalogues for inspiration. Alternatively, if you already have a design in mind, and you are able to provide us with a sketch or picture, we can make a jeweler item for you.
At other times we utilize the skills of our previous jeweller, still living in the area. Rest assured your precious goods will not leave our store unless we have discussed it with you first!
Silverplating and goldplating. This type of work we sub-contract out to a plating specialist in Melbourne . Usual items are silver plate wear like bowls, teapots, trophies etc, as well as some jewellery. With jewellery, generally the more you pay, the higher the level of plating. Our experience is that items which will be worn every day and “given a hard life” are not suitable for re-plating, these would be say rings, bangles, bracelets & watchbands.
Pearl rethreading service. Sub-contracted out to a specialist here in Victoria.
Watch repairs. Other than fitting batteries and watch bands, all other watch repairs are sub-contracted out, we are currently using two specialist watchmakers, onbe in Victoria, the other in NSW. All under warranty work on watches we sell is done by the watch provider, be it Citizen, Jag, Coin Watch, Timex, Classique, Algex or Jacques Farel.
